Na avenida da República está praticamente tudo fechado. Aliás, por toda a cidade. Diz-se que Lisboa fica deserta em Agosto, mas já foi muito mais assim. Apesar disso, é verdade que se circula à vontade e, sobretudo, há lugares para estacionar em todo o lado.&lt;br /&gt;Seguimos, avenida abaixo. Há um sítio que, desde que me lembro (e certamente mesmo antes disso, porque é de meados dos anos 60), está sempre aberto. É aquele sítio de que, se já esgotámos todas as ideias, mesmo quando é já muito tarde – ou, por exemplo, aos domingos de manhã, demasiado cedo – acabamos por nos lembrar. “E se for o Galeto…”.&lt;br /&gt;O “Galeto” – dizem-me que o nome foi posto por um dos fundadores que tinha vindo do Brasil e que é usado para os frangos pequenos, que, aliás, estão no logótipo – é fascinante. Pode não parecer, à primeira vista. Mas é. Em primeiro lugar porque é um mundo. Entramos e apaga-se-nos da memória a visão da avenida deserta. Lá dentro é um movimento constante. Há imensos empregados numa azáfama incessante. Os clientes esperam pela comida, sentados ao enorme balcão de madeira que percorre labirinticamente toda a sala.&lt;br /&gt;Quando se entra há dois balcões de pastelaria, um à direita, outro à esquerda. Depois começa O Balcão. Confesso que me sento sempre mais ou menos perto da porta de entrada, e que nunca me aventuro para lugares mais ao fundo da sala. Mas deve haver gostos para tudo, porque, confirmei, há quem se sente no último dos últimos lugares do balcão, no fim do labirinto, num canto esquecido. Para chegar aí é preciso percorrer a sala, junto às paredes de madeira maciça com formas talhadas, e intervalada pelas famosas vitrines (podíamos chamar-lhes expositores, mas a palavra vitrine é a que mais se aplica ao espírito do lugar).&lt;br /&gt;Algumas destas vitrines estão vazias, à espera de quem queira aproveitá-las para publicitar algum produto. Mas há pelo menos três que cumprem a sua função: em duas há serviços de louça, um apresentado como “Baixela Heráldica” e outro gravado com o símbolo do Benfica; a última vitrine tem material de uma loja de miniaturas militares, com soldados em trincheiras, em pose de combate, e combatentes de várias guerras em uniformes reproduzidos ao pormenor.&lt;br /&gt;Ao balcão senta-se todo o tipo de gente. Há os solitários – o sítio é perfeito para estes, primeiro porque nunca é claro se estão de facto sozinhos, já que as pessoas estão sentadas ao lado umas das outras, e depois porque é difícil aborrecermo-nos. Há as famílias, com as crianças a subir e a descer das cadeiras, e a correr pelos corredores. Há os clientes habituais – “Então boa noite, senhor doutor, até amanhã”, despedem-se os empregados do senhor, já idoso, que jantou sozinho. Há os que vêem comer uma tosta ou um “Bife Hamburguês em Pão Brioche”; há os que optam pelos combinados (mais baratos do que os pratos da ementa); há os que comem os pratos “a sério”; há os que vêm às quartas por causa do Cozido à Portuguesa…&lt;br /&gt;A lista é outro fascínio. É interminável. Aliás, são várias listas, que tiramos de um expositor (aqui não tenho outra palavra), uma dos vinhos, outra para o “snack-bar”, outra do restaurante, outra com as sobremesas. Temos a sensação que todas as escolhas e combinações são possíveis.&lt;br /&gt;Há doze variedades diferentes de omeletas, há pequenos-almoços (que, como tudo o resto, têm preços “antes das 22h” e “depois das 22h”) sugestivos como este: Hamburguês em brioche com maionese, pickles e ¼ de garrafa de vinho (há a mesma versão com em que o vinho é substituído por café com leite).&lt;br /&gt;As sobremesas são todo um mundo. Os gelados, que aparecem com fotografia sobre uma outra fotografia esbatida em fundo, têm nomes como Leviano, Capricho ou Monterosa. Há Ice Cream Soda e Café Glacé, e até batidos de Ovomaltine (ou, na mesma linha nostálgica, uma dose de Patex, para pôr no pão).&lt;br /&gt;E depois há a misteriosa ordem em que tudo aquilo funciona. Quem ficar sentado de frente para a zona onde funciona uma mini-cozinha pode ver os cozinheiros a fazer alguns dos pratos mais simples. À esquerda estão, noutra zona, os especialistas em sobremesas e outras pequenas tarefas – é daí que vêm os gelados. À direita há um bar.&lt;br /&gt;Pode-se fazer o exercício de tentar acompanhar o nosso pedido, desde o empregado que o recebe até ao responsável (distinguem-se dos outros porque, enquanto os primeiros têm uma camisa branca, os segundos têm casaco), que fica a controlar os papelinhos que são colocados junto da porta dos dois elevadores. A cozinha fica em baixo, mas é para esse local inacessível que o responsável dá instruções, através de um intercomunicador na parede, e é daí que, permanentemente, sobem os pratos. O elevador dá sinal, as portas de metal abrem-se e… pode ser o nosso jantar. O responsável de casaco leva então o prato até um certo ponto onde, como uma corrida de estafetas, é passado ao empregado sem casaco, que o tráz até nós. E é sempre assim. Por norma não sou a favor deste tipo de elitismo, mas neste caso compreende-se.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A Sede da Fundação é um local privado em Lisboa onde volta e meia se realizam reuniões importantes, regadas a bom vinho e substanciadas de excelentes refeições. No caso da "Suprema", aqui mesmo ao lado de casa, é a comida, o atendimento (aqui uma palavra especial à Cristina) e as pessoas. Desde de Dezembro do ano passado a Suprema tem sido ponto de encontro de organizações que depois vieram a tomar forma em vários palcos desde Lisboa a Famalicão e até à Calheta na Madeira. E tudo nasceu sempre na Suprema...&lt;br /&gt;Por isso a Suprema está aqui neste blog, como berço de projectos, de amizades e de cumplicidades...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mas seria de falar da comida... talvez nem seja necessário, é um café/restaurante/pastelaria, como tantos outros. type='text'>Os bons amigos...</title><content type='html'>enfim, os bons amigos porque não?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;perto do centro roma, mais precisamente nas traseiras do centro roma existe um espaço único inigualavel porque aberto ate às 5h/6h da matina.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;come-se bebe-se e está-se.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;não vou falar da decoração do espaço, dos empregados(há excepções)da comida e da carta em geral, mas aconselho a não pedirem pasteis de bacalhau, além de serem maus ainda pagam a eventual trincadela, no pastel.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;pequena excepção:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;a carta é fraca, tal como o atendimento, tal como a comida com uma novidade não peçam nada longe do menú (os mental fast americanos), isto é se pedirem uma sopa à alentejana ,mas sem "o pão", não /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;promover a surpresa pode sair caro.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;andar pela cidade ao acaso e procurar onde está a luz ou o tal sítio para tomar um bom café ou deleitar com uma boa refeição pode sair igualmente caro se não atentarmos a uma opinião amiga.(verdade que uma opinião amiga pode ser ainda pior, mas partamos do príncipio que não).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;av da liberdade&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;zona de turismo e muita frequência com poucos ou nenhuns polícias à vista desarmada,claro(há uma esquadra no largo da praça da alegria). incido primeiramente neste assunto (se é que há aqui assunto)porque me parece relevante não estar frequentemente preocupado em sair-se violentamente mais leve do que se entrou, enfim particularidades. segue-se o que só uma retina congestionada deixa passar. a sujidade e o pouco ou nenhum cuidado com a composição do espaço exterior ao que, não menos importante, a apresentação, manutenção e cuidados com os alimentos ditos rápidos (salgadinhos, sandezinhas, bolinhos, enfim salvam-se os gelados,até ver. como se não bastasse a apresentação dos empregados é definida pelos números de nódoas na camisa e como não podia deixar de ser, pela atenção ao cliente que é certamente o único motivo de tédio nas suas vidas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;a tão falada protecção da câmara para uma cidade virada para a qualidade...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;será que as supervisões hoteleiras não almoçam, não jantam, não saem, não circulam, não habitam a sua, deles, lisboa?...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;a lisboa deles que gostava também minha, Nossa, é diferente.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;sair ao acaso e esperar encontrar na av da liberdade um espaço gastronómico ou uma simples esplanada é cruelmente difícil... ainda.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;no entanto, type='text'>vá-vá... ou talvez não</title><content type='html'>"O Vá-Vá, conhecido nos anos 60 por «ninho de lacraus» era o café onde se reuniam os realizadores do novo cinema português, como João César Monteiro, Fernando Lopes, Paulo Rocha, Cunha Telles, Pedro Vasconcelos, Alberto Seixas Santos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A verdade é que cineatas, artistas, intelectuais pontificavam no Vá-Vá nos aos 60 e 70. Quem ainda o frequenta, quando passa por Lisboa é o filósofo Eduardo Lourenço, a escritora Lídia Jorge (antiga professora da Escola Secundária Rainha Dona Leonor), as pintoras Gracinda Candeias e Isabel Laginhas, o pintor Eurico Gonçalves ou o realizador Lauro António.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Da sua decoração original resta apenas um magnifico conjunto de azulejos da pintora Menez, datados de 1958, mas em adiantado estado de degradação. Ainda há bem poucos anos um deles foi salvo da destruição por um cliente, que se indignou com um empregado que nele tencionava pendurar um pindérico relógio vermelho.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;É hoje difícil de imaginar que o Vá-Vá foi em tempos um dos mais requintados cafés de Lisboa. Impressão que agora está longe de provocar. O que nele actualmente predomina é o mau gosto e o abandono generalizado."&lt;br /&gt;(excerto de texto do site Jornal da Praceta)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Com toda esta história deveria ser obrigatório o Vá-Vá manter não só os azulejos da Menez, mas também alguma (por muito pouca que fosse) qualidade no serviço. Eu sei que este blog é para recomendar sítios onde ir comer bem, mas também é necessário (pelo menos eu sinto essa necessidade) lembrar os sítios onde se DEVERIA ir comer bem… caso isso fosse possível. Resta-nos a Suprema ali mesmo ao lado… mas desse antro de surrealistas fundadores da fundação falarei um outro dia. pode  seguir sem reticências o conselho do chefe nas questões do peixe, sempre muito fresco.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;o acolhimento é sem excepção muito bom (simpatia sem excessos, prestável).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;em setúbal numa paralela à luíza todi, junto às traseiras do museu e da albergaria, perto da psp. &lt;br /&gt;aberto até tarde, mais ou menos até às 23h, depois só quem já lá está e
